Axial self-aligning roller bearings are single-row, angle-adjustable roller bearings. This type bearing consists of solid shaft and housing washers and the spherical roller bearings with cage.
The bearings can be dismantled. This means that the various bearing parts can be installed separately.
Axial self-aligning roller bearings are capable of compensating alignment errors, shaft deflections and housing deformations. Furthermore, they can be loaded with high axial forces, withstand high radial forces and can cope with relatively high rotation speeds.

Distinguishing features:

• the bearing is made up of several parts (shaft washer with roller-cage assemblies, housing washers)
• the roller rows are inclined
• the bearing must be able to compensate for alignment errors, shaft deflections and/or housing deformations
